Piercing through slowly

Snowpiercer, the movie, is like an adaption of a book, while the series seems to be the novel itself that refreshes your imagination and makes you relish a well-written story bit by bit. Just like lazy sips of coffee.

I watched the film, starring Chris Evans (not his fan, sorry), on the recommendation of a close friend, while I already had the series on my watch-list. (The trailer was arresting!) Directed by Bong Jon Ho, who also directed Academy Award-winning film Parasite, takes you on an express ride that finishes in two-hour six minutes. The series that streams episodes weekly, though lets you enjoy the story with a decent gap, it might distract you to other equally seductive series on the web platform. I binged watched the first two episodes and I am waiting for the third one as I write, and I can't agree more with Karan Johar when he says that digital platform is a writer's medium.
While the film doesn't talk much about the beginning of the apocalypse, the series satisfies the audience with some background. Daveed Diggs replaces Evan in the lead and that I believe makes the plot more real. Also, I am expecting to explore the 1001 cars of the train properly this time, since the locomotive is based on the 'right balance' replete with class divide.
